THEME: EVERY ACTION COUNTS, TURN STORIES INTO ACTION
Venue: Entrance, KTN College of Pharmacy
The Fourth Year Pharm D students, under the guidance of the Department of Pharmacy Practice. KTN College of Pharmacy, organised an Epilepsy Day Awareness Programme at KTN College of Pharmacy to create awareness and reduce stigma associated with epilepsy. A poster presentation focusing on first aid management and myths and facts related to epilepsy was conducted at the entrance of the college, and the posters were exhibited throughout the day to ensure maximum outreach.
To address social taboos and misconceptions, famous personalities living with epilepsy were introduced, conveying the message that epilepsy does not hinder a normal and productive life. An online quiz competition was also conducted using Google Forms for the students of KTN College of Pharmacy to enhance knowledge and encourage active participation.
The programme was well received, with active participation from students, and it effectively enhanced awareness, corrected misconceptions, and promoted a positive attitude towards people living with epilepsy.
