As part of the observance of World IVF Day 2025, the Department of Pharmacy Practice, KTN College of Pharmacy, organized a Doctor’s Talk on 23rd July 2025 (Wednesday) from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Seminar Hall of Valluvanad Hospital, Ottapalam.
The session commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Mrs. Anjali Sruthy S, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice, KTN College of Pharmacy. She greeted the audience and highlighted the relevance of the day’s theme, “Celebrating Hope, Advancing Science,” emphasizing the significant advances in assisted reproductive technologies and their impact on countless lives.
The main session of the event was a doctor’s talk on the topic “Safety of Hormone Therapy in IVF” delivered by Dr. Anusree B S, MBBS, DNB, Consultant Gynaecologist at Valluvanad Hospital. Dr. Anusree provided an insightful overview of hormone therapy protocols used in IVF, addressed common misconceptions, and elaborated on the safety profile, monitoring protocols, and patient-specific considerations. Her talk was informative, evidence-based, and well-received by the participants, which included PharmD students and faculty.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. S. Rajarajan, Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacy Practice, KTN College of Pharmacy. He expressed gratitude to the speaker for her valuable contribution, the organizing team for their efforts, and the audience for their enthusiastic participation.
The event served as an excellent platform for academic enrichment and helped deepen the understanding of hormone therapy’s role and safety in IVF treatment.
