World Cancer Day

POSTER COMPETITION

Venue: Sahyadri Hall, KTN College of Pharmacy

The Department of Pharmacy Practice, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), successfully organized a Poster Making Competition in connection with World Cancer Day. The event was conducted on 4th February, with the theme “United by Unique”, emphasizing the importance of personalized cancer care and collective action against cancer. Students from D Pharm, B Pharm and PharmD and M Pharm program participated in the competition.

The competition aimed to create awareness among students about cancer prevention, early detection, and the significance of unity in combating cancer while acknowledging the uniqueness of every individual’s journey. Students actively participated and showcased their creativity, knowledge, and concern for public health through informative and visually appealing posters aligned with the theme.
All submitted posters were exhibited at the entrance of the institution, allowing students and staff members to view them. The exhibition attracted considerable attention and served as an effective awareness initiative within the campus.
The posters were evaluated based on creativity, relevance to the theme, clarity of message, and visual presentation. The results were announced on 4th February at 4:00 PM, and the winners were appreciated for their innovative ideas and efforts.
The event was successfully conducted and achieved its objective of spreading awareness about cancer while encouraging student participation, creativity, and social responsibility.
